Felicia’s Donation Closet has a division called Wheels For Women. We are extremely motivated by feeling the need to help women move forward in life. Our team is very excited to announce that we are currently accepting reliable vehicles and passing them on to those who benefit! 2010 Toyota Highlander Donation

More Than a Car — It’s Independence

When Amy & Kevin Ducat of Waunakee generously donated their 2010 Toyota Highlander to FDC’s Wheels for Women program, we knew exactly who we hoped would be behind the wheel.

Last year, we had the privilege of furnishing Dorothy’s apartment as she began building a new chapter for herself. We also knew how desperately she needed reliable transportation.

Thanks to Amy & Kevin’s incredible generosity, and to Christian Brothers Automotive for helping get the Highlander in running order, Dorothy now has a vehicle of her own.

A car means so much more than getting from one place to another. It means independence. Getting to work. Running errands. Making appointments. And having the freedom to keep moving forward.

Amy, Kevin, and Christian Brothers Automotive, thank you for helping put Dorothy on the road to her next chapter.

2009 Nissan Altima Donation

A grateful Neisha received the 5th car donated to Wheels for Women, where Felicia’s Donation Closet (FDC) connects women who have escaped domestic violence to donated cars from our community.

Christian Brothers Automotive in Sun Prairie referred the owner of the car to FDC for the donation and also generously donated 10 hours of repair work and parts to make sure that this single mom of 4 and DV survivor now has a working vehicle.

Franchise Operator, Kris Laukant, shared, “At Christian Brothers Automotive (Sun Prairie), we are dedicated to giving back to the community that we are so proud to be a part of. When one of our clients made mention of wanting to donate his vehicle, we immediately thought of Felicia’s Donation Closet. Their incredible efforts to support domestic abuse survivors inspired us to come alongside their mission to help a family reach a new milestone. What they do for these folks is truly inspiring. As a business rooted in people, with a passion for cars, we believe in the power of ‘loving your neighbor as yourself” – a value that Felicia’s Donation Closet embodies in every aspect of their work. We were honored to spread a little holiday cheer in support of their amazing cause.”

2011 Toyota Camry Donation

Lindsey was a beautiful and loving single mom of a toddler who returned many times to the father of her son after being abused, always trusting and hopeful that he would change. She wanted them to be a family.

Jim became the dad that Lindsey loved and needed for support without judgment. They were kindred spirits and spent a lot of time together during her struggles. He would always come when she needed help and try to persuade her with love and support to leave her abuser.

Jim said Lindsey will live forever in his heart. He decided to honor her memory by donating her car to SHOW MORE LOVE to another single mom. Her 2011 Toyota Camry will be a life-changing gift to a single mom of two toddlers who need transportation. Lindsey’s legacy of love continues.

2005 Ford Focus Donation

Thank you to Collision Masters in Waunakee for helping the families we serve by donating this 2005 Ford Focus and for repairs on another car. Their generosity is making a difference and is greatly appreciated.

Donated in 2023 by a resident of Sun Prairie.

Rob Bundy, Manager of South Street Motors in Sun Prairie, coordinated the donation and the repairs.

Recipient is a single mom with a son.

2010 Toyota Corolla
