MADISON, Wis. — The Madison Community Foundation has given a $75,000 grant to a local nonprofit that supports domestic violence survivors.

Felicia’s Donation Closet provides household items, furniture and overall support to survivors of domestic abuse in Dane County.

“We are incredibly grateful to Madison Community Foundation for this support. Without this grant, we simply would not have been able to afford the recent purchase of a new 2024 Ford panel van. This van will allow us to empower more survivors of domestic abuse by equipping them with items they need to make their homes safe and welcoming,” said FDC Founder and Executive Director, Felicia Raye Diny.

Diny also said the grant will help improve storage options for donations and to hire new staff. Since its inception back in February 2021, FDC has served 160 survivors and their 277 children.
